Choosing a compact tiller configuration

Compare the soil, working width, engine, running gear and implements as one equipment setup.

Describe the ground and the task.

Start with whether the task is soil preparation, shallow cultivation, furrowing or another operation. Explain the soil type, its condition and the working area. A configuration suitable for one task may require a different implement for another.

Power alone does not describe how a complete machine will perform in your field. Working width, depth, traction, gearing and the operator’s handling requirements also matter.

Check the complete working dimensions.

Distinguish implement working width, overall machine width and transport dimensions. The listed direct-coupled tiller range includes 600, 950 and 1,050 mm working-width configurations. Confirm which blade arrangement comes with the selected model.

Measure access paths, row-end turning space and storage arrangements. Compare net weight with handling needs, and gross weight with shipping requirements.

Specify the engine and attachment together.

Gasoline and diesel configurations differ across the range. Identify the engine model, starting arrangement and local servicing needs. Ask for the model’s rated-power information rather than treating every horsepower number as directly comparable.

Attachment compatibility depends on the machine connection and configuration. Confirm the blade set, wheels, guards and any additional implements in the quotation.

Plan the order and support information.

An equipment enquiry should include destination country, quantity, intended task, engine preference and attachments. Ask for the operating information, packing details and spare-parts identification relevant to that configuration.

Operating limits must come from the supplied model instructions. A handle adjustment angle or a general all-terrain statement is not a safe operating-slope specification.

Quick answers

Is the highest-power model always the best choice?

No. The task, soil, working width, handling, available service and attachment requirements should be considered together.

Is the shipping weight the same as machine weight?

No. Net weight and gross shipping weight are different fields. Confirm both, along with packing dimensions and the included attachments.
